We will have normal classes PLUS the holiday program running over the next 2 weeks

Grading qualification is happening during this week. Students will be told verbally if they are on track for grading plus invitations to register for grading will be emailed next week.

August 7: NSW State Championships and National qualifiers (Homebush)
Top 2 (not any medallist this time) in blue/red belt divisions will qualify for Nationals
Black belts just need to enter either August 7 OR Australian Team Qualifications (August 13/14)

August 13/14: Australian Team qualifications for Oceania comp (Gold Coast)

October: Oceania competition (Tahiti) - black belts only

December: Australian TKD National Championships ("rural Victoria" somewhere)
Changed from October to December and moved from Perth to Rural Victoria (maybe Bendigo or Ballarat or something like that)

We have 4 programs this time
1) Taekwondo intensives by belt level

• Can be used to help prepare for Grading (grading is 23-26 July) or if you want to refresh/refine skills/poomsae for a certain belt level.
  
• Some kids are pretty far behind where they need to be, we will do our best but can't guarantee they will be ready in time
• Other kids are totally fine and on track. Depends on a) how much they practice b) how much attention they pay during class
  
• There is a full day option and half day option for black tip and black belt students who are planning to grade

2) Art and Taekwondo
3) Introductory Demonstration Taekwondo

• Learn some of the cool things that our Demonstration team do!

4) Kyorugi camp

• Beginners/introductory - Primary school age
• Expereinced - Primary school kids who are blue belt and can keep up with high schoolers + High Schoolers of all belts

We're holding the first GM Suh Chun Suk Memorial Competition on Saturday!
As a result there are no classes, spectators are welcome (no entry fee) please feel free to stop by and have a look.

Please note there are no classes on Monday 13 June for the Queen's Birthday public holiday

We're going to push grading back until after the school holidays

So the dates will be 23rd - 26th July
Invitations/we will tell the kids if they can grade during the last week of June.
Advanced notice: If you grade 23-26 July, it's unlikely you'll also qualify for the Term 3 grading (unless you are spectacular)

Holiday Program
The current plan for holiday program is:

• Belt level sessions (e.g. 1 day for yellow belt and green tip, 1 day for green belt and blue tip etc)
  
  • I have noticed some students haven't graded for a while but they're still behind thanks to last year's shutdowns and because they attend less frequently/don't pay as much attention/don't work as hard compared to other students
    
  • These belt level sessions can be used to help prepare for grading
    
• Introductory demo session
  
• High performance sparring session(s)
