Surprise guest instructor Master Lee Nayeon 28th August Earlier this week we had the fortunate opportunity to have Master Lee Nayeon (2x World Champion, Korean National Demonstration Team member and ex-Thailand National Poomsae Team Coach) visit our Teens and Adults class just before she left Australia. Hopefully everyone learnt a lot from Master Lee, David, Yutong and Master Zi did! A huge thank you to Master Lee for taking time out at the last minute to come and visit us. Korean Education Centre Demonstration The Korean Education Centre held a competition in Strathfield for participants of their programs during mid August. As part of the opening ceremony we were asked to do a demonstration but they wanted mostly uni students or adults. So we put together a team with our Sydney University students and borrowed Emma to be in the demo too :D The feedback was really positive and we're happy that we were able to put on a good demo!
Our instructors and senior students took advantage of the holidays too hold their first Instructor training for 2019
Important to "sharpen the saw" so we're ready to teach once classes start! A big thank you to everyone who participated and assisted in the competition fundamentals on March 11.
Over 80 participants attended and were able to gain experience not just in sparring but also logistics of what competition day is like. A shout out to Inspire Taekwondo, Hwarangdo, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Taekwondo and University of Sydney Taekwondo for attending and providing instructors who helped during the session. We are holding a sparring seminar in preparation for the April NSW State Championships.
This seminar is primarily designed for students with limited competition experience and we have invited a few other clubs to participate too! As this seminar is held during a standard class time amd location there is no participation fee for Chungdo Taekwondo and Australian Taekwondo Chungdokwan Association students :) |
