We hope everyone is going well and keeping active
There's so much tantalising talk of restrictions ending but let's keep in mind "70% double dose" vaccination is on track for end of October so there are still a couple of months ahead. And even then who knows.

One glimmer is "5 vaccinated people can gather outdoors" from September 19 - we will see how this translates to kids who are too young to be vaccinated. We'll update once we know.

Let's kick cancer! Chung Do TKD crew cut challenge

My family and the Chung Do Taekwondo community have been affected by cancer over the last 18 months so I figured I'd do something useful with my hair during lockdown.
So, next Sunday 5th September I will shave my head to raise money for the Cancer Council!

Cancer is too prevalent, according to the Cancer Council one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer. In the last 18 months alone:

• One of my uncle's passed away due to leukemia
• An aunt's lung cancer returned (wife of the uncle who passed away, non smoker)
• Another uncle was diagnosed with lymphoma
• A student's childhood cancer returned
• That student's mum was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer
• A different student's dad was diagnosed with cancer
• One of our suppliers was diagnosed with lung cancer (also non smoker)
• One of my ex-workmates was treated for breast cancer.

Thanks to the people who replied to the last email letting me know they're outside the 5km zone.
I called Service NSW last week and confirmed that we can travel to teach one on one classes (except of LGAs of concern).

As a result we have added a number of locations for our private classes and one on one reviews.

If you would like to collect your belts, we can arrange contactless pick up from the dojang.
If you live too far from the dojang please let me know and we will post them to you
