November update. App | Grading | End of Year

Are you using the Chung Do TKD app?

• The app has been released and is ready for use
  
• There’s an email from last week inviting you to set up your password
  
• That link is only valid for one week, so if click on the link now it’ll tell me and I’ll need to send you a new link
  
• App makes it much more convenient to book and cancel classes, track progress to gradings and we’ve moved all class reminders to the app instead of emails
  

Sunday 13 November State Poomsae training

• Lead by Master Linda Pace (World Championships silver medallist)
• Australian College of Physical Education (Olympic Park)
• $20
  
• Colour belts 1pm-2.15pm
• Black belts 2.30pm – 5pm
• Must have an Australian TKD number (anyone who has competed at a State Competition has one of these)

 

Grading

• Grading will be 26-28 November
• A bit earlier there is Nationals in Bendigo 3-4 December and a number of people have indicated they’re going on holiday early this year
  
• Yellow to Blue tip – you might be eligible if you graded in September or before (depending on attendance and if you know your stuff)
  
• Blue belt and above – you might be eligible if you graded in July or before (depending on attendance and if you know your stuff)
  
• As it’s early my lists for who is eligible will be a bit broken…so when we start pre-grading assessments in middle of November, let us know if we don't include you
  

Nationals

• We have 9 competitors flying down to Bendigo (country Victoria) for the 2022 Nationals!
  
• Should be great experience for the team :)
  

 
Chungdo TKD Picnic Day and Christmas shutdown

• We’re going to attempt our first ever (that I know of) whole school picnic day
  
• Sunday 11th December, location TBC. It’s going to be a bring a plate (aka “Pot Luck” as my mum and her friends call it) type situation.
  
• Last day of class will be 18 December (black belts), then we will reopen on Monday 9th January
  
• Everyone has already been put on suspension from 19 Dec until 8 Jan
  
• Some people have already told me about longer holidays and I’ve added them into the system
